Pastor Sherry Amedofu was born in Painesville, Ohio to Theodore and Barbara Mitchell, the middle child of five and a twin. Pastor Sherry grew up in a home where her parents did not frequent church. However, her Grandmother a fire baptized church mother in the C.O.G.I.C taught her the necessity and power of prayer. Later in life as a teenager, Sherry accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized at Faith Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. She accepted her call as a Missionary at Kingdom Builders C.O.G.I.C. Anointed to teach, and train youth and young adults, she served on the YPWW – Young People Willing Workers Executive Board as the Dean of Education for Maryland, D.C., and Virginia for the Washington DC Jurisdiction Youth Department. When the Lord called her to evangelize she said yes and ran on to see what the end would be. Going to the hedges and highways to compel men to come unto the Lord.
An excellent and faithful wife to Pastor Godwin Amedofu and nurturing mother to Zaid, Daniel and Joshua, her family is her most cherished call. She is a dedicated member of Divine Hope Assembly International, willing to serve wherever her Pastors send her. In November 2013 she accepted the call to Co-Pastor at the Anne Arundel County branch of Divine Hope Assembly International. Working with this branch of Zion has enriched her life beyond anything that she could have imagined.
