Pastor Christopher Timi, Ph.D

Pastor Christopher Timi has served and functioned in various capacities including Sunday school Teacher, Church Trustee, and Financial Secretary. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1991, where he served before attending a pastoral training under the leadership of Apostle Cornelius Showell of First Apostolic Faith Church Baltimore, and was ordained a pastor in 2004. He has since then been commissioned with the vision to: Preach the Gospel of the good tidings to the Nations, proclaim liberty to the physical and spiritual captives and open the prison and the spiritual eyes of those who are bound, and comfort to all who mourn.

The Lord used Pastor Christopher Timi and Pastor (Mrs.) Ann Timi as the vessels to set a pillar on 6193 Old Central Avenue, Capitol Heights, Maryland known as DIVNE HOPE ASSEMBLY INTERNATIONAL (DHAI); followed by a foreign branch in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in West Africa; and another branch in Anne Arundel, Maryland.  With the support of other God-given lieutenants, amid all things, they are more than conquerors through Christ that strengthens them.

Pastor Christopher Timi acquired his elementary, secondary education and his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Finance in Nigeria where he was also certified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA). He furthered his education in the United States and earned a Maters of Science in Taxation and subsequently became a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a doctoral of philosophy in Applied Theology (Ph.D).

Pastor Chris Timi has been happily married since 1990 to Pastor Ann Timi, a virtuous, visionary and dynamic woman of God. Their marriage is blessed with three wonderful children: Patricia, Patience, and Peace.
